Reports are relatively new to my writing arsenal. I wrote my first public report in 1999 at the request of my father, Kalamu ya Salaam. He insisted that people would be interested in a written dispatch from my trip to Fiji. The positive feedback from the Fiji reports showed me the large impact a relatively easy task can have.

Following my father's report-writing example (he writes reports from every conference and cultural event he attends), I've since written reports from the 6-week Clarion West writing workshop, as well as a report from the When Butterflies Kiss promotional weekend in New York.
