K. Ibura is a writer, painter, and traveler from New Orleans, Louisiana. The middle child of five, she grew up in a hardscrabble neighborhood with oak and fig trees, locusts and mosquitoes, cousins and neighbors. K. Ibura's work delves into spheres of human liberation, human connection, and evolution. She employs speculative fiction and creative nonfiction to take readers through mind-bending journeys into the transcendent, the mystical, and the fantastic.
Mojo (series)
Each painting in the MOJO series is named after the address of a location where mercurially creative spirits were alive and thriving, whether it be the home of friends who are particularly creative, or Kiini’s own past addresses in inspiring foreign countries, or the address of a club where many nights were spent communing with the magic of music. The MOJO series celebrates the magic in life, the strength of creativity and the power of the human spirit.
In the spirit of creativity!
