I am officially halfway done with this second (most recent) rewrite of my novel. More so than the first section, I’m finding that I’m doing a bit of slash and burn, areas where I went on a bit too far into a scene when the point was already demonstrated. It has to do with feeling my way through the story and having enough experience and distance to know when I’m droning on and when I’ve said enough.

That’s what this week’s podcast is about: the climb to getting to the point where you intuitively know what you’re doing with your story.
